Himba Tribe

Driving from Khorixas heading towards Outjo, first stop in the morning at the Petrified forest. This is a deposit of large tree trunks that have "turned to stone" through a process of diagenesis. In the afternoon, paying a visit at the Himba Tribe. The Himba are indigenous peoples with an estimated population of about 50,000 people living in northern Namibia, in the Kunene region (formerly Kaokoland) and on the other side of the Kunene River in Angola.
